The transfer of Nat Phillips to Turkey is becoming a "concrete possibility," with the price tag already established.

Nat Phillips is entering the final year of his contract, drawing significant interest for his services, including from a Turkish club. The defender spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at Cardiff, with Ipswich and Mainz also showing interest in his signature.

Liverpool has set his value at £8 million, a sum that might deter some potential buyers, but sporting director Richard Hughes is prepared to negotiate firmly. Recent reports have linked Trabzonspor with Phillips, with claims of ongoing negotiations and the club awaiting the player's decision.

Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has confirmed an initial offer from Trabzonspor was made and subsequently rejected, with Liverpool holding out for €5 million (£4.2m). This amount is notably lower than the initial valuation, and while Liverpool is open to negotiation, it would be unexpected for them to accept such a reduced fee.

Phillips has expressed a strong interest in regular playtime, considering a permanent move to Cardiff favorably. He acknowledges the uncertainty that comes with club transfers, citing his loan experiences as preparation for such changes. Trabzonspor, who finished third in the Super Lig last season, is actively seeking a centre-back, with Hungary's Attila Szalai also being a potential recruit.
