Ryan Gravenberch today received Liverpool’s Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month award for September.
The Dutch midfielder was selected by fans as the standout player of the month, a period during which Arne Slot's squad secured victories in five out of six matches across all competitions.
Gravenberch was pivotal in five of these matches, showcasing exceptional skill in midfield, contributing to the Reds' ascent to the Premier League summit and their successful beginnings in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
In the Player of the Month voting, he surpassed Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate, who came in second and third, respectively.
Receiving the award at the AXA Training Centre on Thursday, the No.38 expressed to Liverpoolfc.com: "Winning Player of the Month is really nice, especially since it's my first one, which makes me a bit proud."
"We have an excellent team with talented players. Luis [Diaz] scored four goals in September, making it a tough choice between us, but I'm grateful to the fans for selecting me."
Reflecting on his top performance, he remarked: "My play against Bournemouth was solid, but the match against Milan stands out. It was not only a great team effort but also a strong individual showing."
