Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have been released early from their international duties during the current October break.
Salah scored for Egypt in a 2-0 win against Mauritania in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier last Friday. He was scheduled to play in a follow-up match against the same team on Tuesday.
Van Dijk was sent off while playing for the Netherlands after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession in the second half of their 1-1 UEFA Nations League draw against Hungary, which made him ineligible for the upcoming game in Germany on Monday. Consequently, both players will not participate further in their international teams' activities this month following the decision to release them ahead of schedule.
