Liverpool defender poised for permanent move following a six-year tenure without game time.

After six years with Liverpool and no appearances at any level, 24-year-old Anderson Arroyo is poised for a permanent transfer to conclude his extended series of loan spells.

Arroyo, who joined Liverpool at 18 from the Colombian team Fortaleza in 2018, has been loaned out eight times without playing for the club.

A contract extension signed in 2022 secures his stay at Anfield until the following summer, but Diario de Burgos reports an expected three-year deal with Spanish club Burgos CF.

The report suggests that the agreement with the Castilian club is finalized, yet minor details with Liverpool are pending resolution.

It appears these issues will be promptly addressed, enabling Arroyo to join the team he played for in the latter half of the 2023/24 season.

Arroyo impressed during his 16 appearances for Burgos last season, with their sporting director, Michu, orchestrating the transfer.

The inability to obtain a UK work permit has prevented the 24-year-old from playing or training with Liverpool. His transfer this summer should allow Liverpool to receive a fee and offer Arroyo a stable environment after years of transfers.

Arroyo's six out of eight loan stints were in Spain, including Salamanca, Mirandes, Alaves, Andorra, and Burgos, as well as time with Belgian and Czech clubs.

Burgos, competing in Spanish football's second division, appreciates Arroyo's adaptability in defense, capable of playing right-back, left-back, and center-back.
