Bayer Leverkusen's defender, Jeremie Frimpong, has hinted at a possible transfer to Liverpool amid rumors about his future. Frimpong contributed 14 goals and 12 assists in 47 matches for Leverkusen in the 2023/24 season, playing a pivotal role in their historic Bundesliga victory as a standout right-back. Currently, he is concentrating on Euro 2024 with the Netherlands, yet his future remains uncertain, with Manchester United and Liverpool reported to be interested. SportBILD suggests that Liverpool still admires Frimpong, who has an estimated value of £42 million.

Frimpong began his career at Manchester City at nine years old and transferred to Celtic in September 2019. He debuted professionally against Partick Thistle that same month and was instrumental in Celtic's Treble win in his inaugural season, with 21 appearances and one goal. After a regular presence in the following season, he joined Leverkusen in January 2021. Having made 142 appearances for Leverkusen, a move back to the Premier League could be on the horizon this summer. When questioned in February about joining Liverpool, as Alonso was rumored to succeed Jurgen Klopp, Frimpong told Ziggo Sport, "Liverpool is a great club with history. That would be great. Who knows what the future will bring."

While Alonso decided to stay at Leverkusen to advance his coaching career, Frimpong's decision remains uncertain. With Barcelona also expressing interest, the competition for his signature extends beyond Liverpool and United.
