Andy Robertson is looking forward to a new challenge with Liverpool's new boss, Arne Slot, and encourages Reds fans to keep an open mind.
Former Feyenoord manager Slot took over from Jurgen Klopp at the start of this month after Klopp's poignant departure.
Robertson, a pivotal player during Klopp's remarkably successful nine-year tenure, is eager to embrace the future.
"I haven't spoken to him (Slot) yet," the full-back, who is gearing up for Scotland's European Championship campaign, told Sky Sports.
"I believe he wants us to concentrate on the Euros. It's an exciting new chapter. The previous era was quite extraordinary, and I am very grateful to that manager, but I'm equally thrilled about the new manager stepping in—with new ideas, a fresh perspective—and I'm eager to see what comes of it.
"I have no doubts that we can maintain our momentum. According to everything we've heard, the manager is excellent, and I'm looking forward to experiencing that firsthand."
For the 45-year-old Dutchman Slot, following in the footsteps of such a successful and beloved figure will be a formidable task.
Klopp concluded his Anfield farewell speech by initiating a chant for Slot, and Robertson commented: "Fans need to keep an open mind.
"The past eight or nine years have been quite extraordinary. Venturing into the unknown may seem daunting, but it's also thrilling; the team is in a strong position, and we had a commendable season last year.
"Of course, it could have been better, but our primary goal at the season's start was to qualify for the Champions League, and we also secured a trophy. That's definitely a positive outcome.
"Klopp has left the club on solid ground, so it's up to us to build on that foundation. The incoming manager will assemble a formidable squad, likely adding some fresh talent.
"We must rise to the occasion once more. We proved last season that we're contenders for the league title, and that remains our objective. The manager has a history of success and is surely eager to replicate that. We need to be at our peak to fulfill those aspirations."
The players will need time to adjust, but Robertson is focused on moving forward rather than dwelling on the past.
Klopp harbors a deep affection for Liverpool FC, yet he acknowledges the need for a period of rest, feeling 'empty.'
"The Scot remarked, "In my twilight years, when I reflect on cherished memories and numerous joyful occasions, I'll recognize that none of it would have been feasible without Klopp."
"He continued, "But I'm hopeful that there are still great moments ahead with both club and country. I'm immensely grateful for everything he's done for me, my family, and the entire club, as he's made our dreams a reality."
